New Hollywood Revisited 1968-1975

Motor City Cinematheque announces a six-film residency at Better Books & Music in Ferndale beginning November 11th and running Wednesdays through December 16th. The New Hollywood era is defined as a transformative period in American film that struck a distinctly raw and artistic tone, breaking free from traditional Hollywood studio filmmaking and ushering in a generation of influential directors, actors and studio executives. Our series features era defining directors and award winning performances, will be presented on both 16mm film and digitally and will include thoughtful introductions and post-screening discussions.
